Beach Vacation Rentals on Siesta Key

The island of Siesta Key has one of the widest choices of beachfront rentals available in the Sarasota area. And of course you'll find plenty of vacation properties available a block or two off the beach as well. Both weekly and monthly rentals are available. Some properties also offer daily rentals, especially during the fall months when you are likely to find some special deals offered. Siesta Key has four main geographical areas to consider: the Siesta Village area, Siesta Beach, Crescent Beach, and Turtle Beach.

Siesta Village Rentals

The Siesta Village area is on the northern part of the island and is about one mile north of Siesta Key Public Beach where Ocean Blvd curves into Beach Road. North of Ocean Boulevard you'll find quite a few mom-and-pop style beach motels and a few condominiums. Most are within walking distance of the restaurants and shopping conveniences of Siesta Village. If you're looking for a beach house, the section of beach between Ocean Boulevard and Siesta Public Beach has some awesome houses and townhomes right on the beach, as well as right across the street. The beach is really wide in this area and is relatively quiet since public parking is limited.

Siesta Beach Rentals

The area around Siesta Public Beach has some excellent rental condominiums. They are in the area right across the street from the world famous Siesta Key Public Beach. Why is this a good thing? It's good because you have access to everything that made Siesta Key Public Beach the #1 beach in the nation in 2011: excellent lifeguards, shaded picnic areas, a kid's playground, restrooms on the beach, volleyball, beach equipment rentals, and of course, a top-notch food and drink concession.

Crescent Beach Rentals

Crescent Beach begins just south of Siesta Key Public Beach and extends south for a mile-and-a-half to Point-of-Rocks. Crescent Beach is where all of the larger and taller resort hotels and rental condominium units are located. The 2 bedroom/2 bath condominium with a queen-size pull-out sofa is typical and sleeps 6. Other configurations are available, of course. The townhomes are often 3 or 4 bedrooms. While it's easy to focus on the beaches, don't overlook the Intracoastal Waterway side of the key. Many of the rentals on the bay side of the island offer boat docks that provide easy water access and great fishing.

Crescent Beach Rentals on Sara Sea Circle

One of the most popular locations on Crescent Beach is the Sara Sea Circle area. The Resorts of Sara Sea Circle include nine "resorts within a resort," with names like Sea Club V, Tropical Beach Resorts, and Conclare Beach Resort.  Each has its own private courtyard and its own design aesthetics, but the individual resort-motels share common space and swimming pool.  All the Sara Sea resorts include kitchenettes, but with all the restaurants nearby, yours may not get much use. Many different room configurations are available, from efficiency to three-bedroom units. The beach in front of Sara Sea Circle is a private beach and makes beach equipment like chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards available to the resort guests. The lack of a nearby public access means you won't run into heavy crowds on the beach.

Crescent Beach Rentals of Point of Rocks

The Point-of-Rocks neighborhood is at the very south end of Crescent Beach and offers quite a few rental houses, condominiums, and other rental units. All are within a block or two of the beach. It's a very quiet beach neighborhood with easy beach access, though the rentals are not directly on the beach.

Turtle Beach Rentals

Turtle Beach is located at the southern end of Siesta Key and is known for being quieter. Old-Florida style small resorts are the stand-out here, tucked away in the tropical foliage behind the beach. This southern end of the island is narrow and some of the properties have waterfront units on both the bay and the Gulf. The bayside units often have boat docks. Multi-level condominiums are well-represented in the Turtle Beach area as well, both on the Gulf side and on the bay.
